Update from AOTA Rep

Dear KY-based AOTA members,

I’m wrapping up my second full year of my first term as KY’s Representative to the AOTA Representative Assembly (RA). During this time, I have visited several KOTA district meetings, have participated on all RA meetings, as well as some RA committees, and represented KY at last September’s Capitol Hill Day in Washington DC.

Serving in the capacity of KY’s Rep has been one of the highest honors I’ve ever experienced. To share helpful information, I thought I’d offer a quick refresher of the role of KY’s Rep for you to know how collaborate with me and future KY Reps. State Reps listen to their constituents, who are AOTA members from that state, about any concerns or ideas they have regarding the profession of occupational therapy at a national level. Concerns pertaining to legislation are always shared with AOTA’s Federal Affairs team for them to guide us on what to do.

You may always access information about AOTA’s RA by clicking the following link or by copy/pasting into your Internet browser: . Additionally, I am always available to you via email: Your email is always welcome, and I’ll gladly help with any topic you bring my way.

 Thank you!
